This Friday, please make plans to attend a special Kick Butt Blues benefit dance. Last Friday, July 25, dancer and member of the Blues Association of Austin, Patrick Warren suffered a fire at his apartment. Patrick is safe, however he lost the majority of his possessions and does not currently have a place to live.

As one of the people who’s pushed consistently for blues dance in Austin, we feel it’s important to help support Patrick in this time of need and give a little back to someone who’s given so much to the dance community, both swing and blues, here in Austin.

In addition to contributions from the Blues Association of Austin and the Austin Swing Syndicate, all proceeds from Friday’s Kick Butt Blues dance will be contributed to helping Patrick get back on his feet.
